The Glass Resort has been designed to experience the art of flameworking with a 12-seat flameworking table with Carlisle Hellcat torches, Paragon kilns, and popular manufacturers of glass. The Glass Resort is a fun and enjoyable facility to learn, share ideas, and experience the love of glass with other glass artists.

Tracey Alfaro is the Manager and primary Instructor at The Glass Resort. Tracey has 10 years experience working with glass in forms such as stained glass, fused glass, and flameworked glass with the past five years primarily focused with flameworked glass. She has appeared in several issues of The Flow Magazine's Women in Glass issues as well as had many of her photographs included in articles for other glass magazines. In 2012, Tracey wrote an article in Glassline Magazine about the Art Glass Invitational (AGI), a yearly glass conference. Tracey is also the President of the Frederick Hot Glass Society, a local glass group. Tracey, operating as Four Paws Glass, has been active in several bead shows and groups local to the metro D.C. area.
The Glass Resort offers a wide variety of classes in both soft and borosilicate glasses. Sign-up for classes can be done online or in the studio. We also have a retail section with Effetre/Moretti glasses in opaque and transparent colors along with borosilicate glass by Glass Alchemy, Momka, Northstar and Trautman Art Glass (TAG); basic flameworking tools; kilns and Nortel torches.
